We currently offer Phentermine and GLP-1 injections.
A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week or 4-8 pounds a month. This can be achieved with healthy lifestyle changes, in combination with medication use if appropriate.
Yes! Refer a friend for Phentermine, and both you and your friend will receive an additional $10 off your visit.
If you refer a friend for GLP-1 injections, you will receive $50 off your next visit. Discounts are offered after your referred friend schedules and completes their appointment. If your friend comes in without you, make sure they leave your name and birth date at the checkout desk so we can give you credit at your next visit.
Depending on the medication you are prescribed, some returning patients may be eligible for a 90-day supply. Certain medical guidelines must be met. For more information, please call the office.
Treatment & Medication Questions
All initial GLP-1 Injection consultations take place over the phone. You will have a 20-minute call with one of our nurse practitioners to review drug information, side effects and diet and lifestyle recommendations.
During this comprehensive overview of our GLP-1 Injection program, our nurse practitioner will review when you will receive your first injection in our office, lay out your medication schedule, and schedule your 4 week follow up phone call.
New patients require two in-office visits initially. Telehealth is available for patients with two recent in-office visits within 12 months, updated registration and consent forms and a stable blood pressure history.
The typical starting dose is 0.25 mg once weekly. This dosage may be adjusted based on individual response and tolerance. Your provider will start you on the lowest dose and adjust as needed for your safety and progress.
Yes, GLP-1 injections are generally safe for individuals with high blood pressure and may even help reduce cardiovascular risks.
Individuals with a history of Medullary Thyroid Cancer or pancreatitis should consult with their healthcare provider, as these conditions may contraindicate the use of GLP-1 injections.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled every four weeks via phone to assess progress, discuss any side effects, and adjust dosing as necessary. In-office visits are scheduled for medication pick-up.
Prescriptions for GLP-1 injections are processed through Olivera's office. The medical staff will pre-fill your monthly supply of syringes, and pickup will be arranged during your phone appointment.

However, the exact duration of treatment at Olivera is personalized based on individual weight loss goals and response to the medication.
GLP-1 injections are typically administered once weekly using a small needle just under the skin. The first injection is scheduled to be administered in our office, under the instruction of a member of our medical team.

Strategies to manage these effects include starting with a low dose and gradually increasing it, eating smaller and more frequent meals, avoiding high-fat foods, and staying well-hydrated.
Yes, you can travel with your GLP-1 injections. It's recommended to keep them in a bag with the prescription label, preferably in a hard-shell case, and store them in your carry-on luggage. While the medication is shelf-stable at room temperature, consider using a small ice pack during travel and refrigerating the medication upon arrival at your destination.
Cost, Insurance & Access
Olivera serves patients who pay out-of-pocket at very reasonable rates. We do not accept insurance for weight loss programs, which allows us to keep costs low and offer big savings compared to traditional providers. Payment is due at the time of service. If requested, we will provide you with a “superbill” which you can use to request reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Payment is required at the time of your telehealth appointment. Olivera accepts all major credit cards and FSA/HSA accounts.

Eligibility & Expectations
Olivera Weight Loss welcomes patients with a BMI of 25 or higher, including those who may not qualify for brand-name medication programs. You may also be a good candidate if you are managing conditions such as fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, or if you’re looking to support muscle mass while continuing weight loss. Every patient begins with a free consultation with a licensed provider, who will review your health history and goals to create a personalized treatment plan that’s right for you.
Your first visit at Olivera Weight Loss is a free consultation with a licensed provider. During this appointment, we’ll review your health history, complete a medication screening, and perform an exam to understand your needs and goals. From there, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan just for you — which may include custom-formulated GLP-1s with dosing tailored to your progress.
